Infection Control Registered Nurse
About The Position
VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring an Infection Control Registered Nurse at Wilkinson County Correctional Facility in Woodville, Mississippi. The RN delivers quality care within the scope of practice established by the applicable state nurse practice act and regulations. The nurse delegates and supervises nursing activities performed by competent personnel within their scopes of practice. The Infection Control RN manages the Infection Control Program and maintains national healthcare infection-control standards at facilities. The role supports a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and helps prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
- Active CPR certification.
- Remain knowledgeable about state laws and regulations governing practice.
- Satisfactorily complete initial and annual clinical competencies as assigned by role.
- Bachelor’s-prepared nurse or higher, with experience in healthcare infection control.
- Possess infection-control certification from a nationally recognized organization, such as APIC or SHEA, or obtain it within six months of hire.
