About The Position

The Infection Control Nurse participates in the UHS Hospitals Infection Prevention and Control program, including the prevention, surveillance, and control of infections. The nurse assists hospital departments in carrying out their responsibilities in infection prevention and patient safety. The position is in Infection Control, UHS Hospitals, and is scheduled for 32 hours per week on the day shift.

Requirements

Associate’s in Applied Science in Nursing and five years of clinical experience or Infection Prevention experience.
New York State Registered Nurse license or eligibility.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing with three years of clinical experience or Infection Prevention experience.
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC).

Responsibilities

Participate in the UHS Hospitals Infection Prevention and Control program, including infection prevention, surveillance, and control.
Assist hospital departments in executing responsibilities in infection prevention and patient safety.
