INFANT - TODDLER CHILDCARE TEACHER ASSOCIATE (CDA/FCCPC credential a must)
About The Position

This is a full-time position for an Early Head Start Infant-Toddler Childcare Teacher Associate, working with children aged Infant-Toddler up to 3 years old. The role is year-round, with daytime hours Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 am or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 5:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break. The pay rate is $16.89 per hour. The position requires a FCCPC Birth – Five certification or a CDA certification in Infant-Toddler, and DCF Staff Verification Birth-Five. The responsibilities include planning and implementing daily learning activities, nurturing children, managing the classroom environment, equipment, and supplies, establishing supportive relationships with children and parents, and implementing developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum.
Requirements
- FCCPC Birth – Five or CDA certification in Infant-Toddler required
- DCF 45 hr. training certificates required
- High School diploma or GED required
- Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate required
- Certificate of good health and completed TB test required
- Minimum 1 year in childcare services
- Requires fingerprints, level 2 criminal background check, and drug test

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for infants and toddlers in a center-based setting
- Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
- Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
- Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
- Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
- Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
- Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
