About The Position

Primrose School of Castle Rock is seeking an Assistant Teacher or Lead Teacher to join their team. This role involves creating a fun and safe environment for infants through toddler-aged children, focusing on developing their confidence and independence. Teachers will guide children through small group instruction, helping them absorb new content and understand complex information. The school is looking for individuals experienced in early childhood education, preschool, child care, or daycare centers. Virtual interviews are being scheduled.

Requirements

  • Assistant Teachers- PDIS 1 is required
  • Lead Teachers- PDIS 2, CDA, Associates, or Bachelor's degree required
  • Previous experience as a teacher in licensed early childhood education, PreK, preschool, childcare, day care center, or education
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of childcare programs and child safety

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Castle Rock, and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
