About The Position
The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking a nurturing and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners. You'll combine attentive care with meaningful early learning experiences while supporting infants through important developmental milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education OR CDA required
- Previous professional infant or early childhood classroom experience strongly preferred
- Lead Teacher experience preferred
- Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines in a safe and nurturing Infant classroom
- Support individualized feeding, diapering, sleep, and care schedules
- Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
- Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development
- Observe developmental progress and maintain required documentation
- Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Follow applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
