Part-Time Infant Nanny
About The Position
A loving family in New City is looking for an experienced and dependable nanny to care for their 2-month-old baby four days a week. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves infant care and enjoys being part of all the important milestones that happen during a baby's first year. The family offers a consistent 16-hour-per-week schedule with flexibility in the specific hours. Additional hours may also be available for someone interested in working more. Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 4 hours per day / 16 hours per week The family has flexibility in the specific hours and can work with the right nanny to establish a consistent schedule. Looking for more hours? The family may occasionally need evening or overnight care, and additional childcare opportunities may also be available through Jovie. Additional hours are optional.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional childcare experience
- Hands-on experience caring for infants
- Dependable, caring and actively engaged with children
- Reliable transportation
- At least 18 years old
- Willing complete required background screening
- First Aid/CPR certified or willing to complete certification
- Experience supporting infant feeding, sleep routines and developmental milestones
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, hands-on infant care
- Supporting feeding and nap routines
- Tummy time and age-appropriate developmental activities
- Reading, talking, singing and interacting with the baby
- Taking walks and introducing new experiences as appropriate
- Supporting developmental milestones as the baby grows
- Keeping the baby's immediate areas tidy and organized
