About The Position

Early Care & Education is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging program where young children can learn, explore, and grow. The hands-on role supports children's whole-child development and provides opportunities to bring creativity, compassion, and leadership to the classroom. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet HHS and DFPS caregiver qualifications, including age, background check, medical clearance, and annual training.

Nice To Haves

• Previous teaching or childcare experience.
• Early Childhood Education coursework or certification.
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Valid driver’s license if transporting children.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging lessons and activities, including storytelling, music, arts, and discovery play, that promote whole-child development.
• Foster a nurturing classroom culture where children feel loved, valued, and supported.
• Model positive behavior while guiding routines and expectations.
• Adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Partner with families to support smooth daily transitions and open communication.
• Promote healthy habits, including hygiene, nutrition, and self-care.
