About The Position

The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to lead our infant classroom. This role provides the opportunity to build strong relationships with children and families while creating a nurturing environment that supports each child's earliest developmental milestones. As the classroom leader, you will create engaging experiences that encourage exploration, sensory development, communication, and secure attachments during a child's most important first year.

Requirements

Previous infant classroom experience required
Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving
Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
CDA accepted
Candidates with 5+ years of professional childcare experience and a high school diploma will also be considered
CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

Lead all daily routines for the infant classroom, including feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental activities
Create a warm, responsive, and engaging learning environment that supports each child's individual needs
Implement age-appropriate learning experiences using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Observe, document, and communicate developmental milestones with families
Mentor and support assistant teachers to ensure consistency and high-quality care
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and relationship building
Ensure compliance with all New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing requirements
