About The Position
The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Fair Lawn, NJ. In this role, you will provide a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for our infant students, supporting their developmental milestones through attentive care and engaging activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an infant teacher or in early childhood education preferred.
- Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate caregiving techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with families.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate with a passion for nurturing young children.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and secure classroom environment for infants.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social development.
- Observe and document individual progress, communicating regularly with parents and caregivers.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistency and quality in our infant program.
