About The Position

The Currey Ingram Academy Child Development Center is an Infant - Pre-K childcare program that serves the children of academy faculty and members of the surrounding community. The CDC places an emphasis on outdoor education and offers a dynamic enrichment program that includes gardening, cooking, foreign language, music, and movement. Teachers are provided with the Frogstreet curriculum and are supported with a mentor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with these specific age groups
• Early childhood education credentials, or their equivalent
• Background in special education is not required

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operation of the classroom
• Working with the other teachers to meet the developmental, physical, and emotional needs of the children
• Managing the classroom with positive behavioral expectations
