About The Position

This course is designed to build background knowledge regarding oral, reading, and writing development in second or foreign language learning contexts. The course examines language acquisition theories and literacy development as related to teaching children and youth in diverse global contexts.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in education or related discipline
  • Bachelor of Education and/or K – 12 Teaching Certification
  • K – 12 teaching experience in the content area
  • Evidence of teaching in an online context
  • Education or related content area specialization
  • Language and literacy development specialization
  • International and comparative education specialization
  • Teaching experience in an educational context outside of Canada
  • Experience in teaching in online contexts
