About The Position

The American Soybean Association (ASA) is seeking an experienced and highly organized Industry Relations Program Manager to join our Industry Relations team. This position is responsible for managing leadership development programs, industry meetings, sponsor-funded initiatives, educational events, and stakeholder engagement activities that support ASA's mission and fundraising efforts. The Program Manager works collaboratively with internal staff, sponsors, vendors, state affiliates, and industry partners to ensure programs are delivered professionally, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is a proactive project manager who enjoys building relationships, coordinating complex initiatives, and delivering exceptional experiences for members, sponsors, and industry partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Business, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in program management, meetings and events, nonprofit association management, communications, fundraising, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of row crop agriculture and agricultural organizations.
  • Experience working with sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Budget management and contract administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned leadership development programs, educational initiatives, meetings, and industry events.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor program progress and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure successful delivery of sponsor commitments and grant-funded program requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of meetings and events, including registration, attendee communications, travel logistics, venues, vendors, audiovisual services, shipping, signage, and onsite execution.
  • Coordinate participant materials, agendas, presentations, and meeting resources.
  • Provide onsite leadership during ASA meetings, conferences, leadership programs, and Commodity Classic.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, industry partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Support sponsorship development, proposal preparation, stewardship, and reporting.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and increase revenue.
  • Coordinate communications with sponsors, participants, state affiliates, and industry partners.
  • Assist in developing newsletters, marketing materials, presentations, and program reports.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, participant databases, and program documentation.
  • Manage assigned program budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Review invoices, purchase requests, contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Coordinate inventory, shipping, and departmental project documentation.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across ASA departments.
