About The Position

The Industry Consultant – Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) provides a credible sector perspective across the Enterprise Consulting unit’s five domain pillars: Customer Experience (Cx), IT Service Management (ITSM), ERP, Human Capital Management (HCM), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). This senior, client-facing, practice-building role shapes HLS-specific offerings, leads industry conversations with client leadership, and supports sales, presales, and partnership alliances. The consultant also creates new consulting services and thought leadership, including AI and agentic solutions for healthcare and life sciences. The role calls for a consultant with experience across multiple technology stacks, process consulting, and process intelligence. The consultant translates HLS regulation and operating realities into practical transformation roadmaps, advises on live engagements, reviews deliverables for industry accuracy, and coaches consultants across the domain pillars.

Requirements

  • 12–15 years of experience in consulting or industry-plus-consulting roles, including at least 8 years focused on Healthcare and Life Sciences.
  • Consulting experience across technology stacks aligned to the pillars (CRM and CX, ITSM, ERP, HCM, SCM), with depth in at least two and working knowledge of the others.
  • Domain depth in at least two HLS segments: providers, payers, pharma and biotech, or medical devices.
  • Proven process consulting skills, including process discovery, BPMN modelling, value stream mapping, operating-model design, and benchmarking.
  • Working knowledge of process intelligence and process mining tools, and experience turning findings into a business case.
  • A track record in sales and presales, including shaping and winning enterprise deals and presenting to C-suite audiences.
  • Familiarity with HLS regulations and standards such as HIPAA, GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR, and how they affect technology and process choices.
  • Experience building consulting propositions, partner alliances, and published thought leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, pharmacy, healthcare, or business.

Nice To Haves

  • Platform, process, or framework certifications, such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or SAP certifications; Lean Six Sigma; ITIL; TOGAF; or a process mining tool certification.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI and agentic frameworks, and responsible AI governance in regulated settings.
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR and of life sciences commercial and clinical data ecosystems.
  • Published articles, conference talks, or analyst recognition in HLS or enterprise transformation.
  • Experience working with global delivery models and distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Translate HLS contexts—including providers, payers, pharma, biotech, and medical devices—into points of view, reference architectures, use cases, and accelerators for Cx, ITSM, ERP, HCM, and SCM.
  • Lead current-state assessments, process redesign, and operating-model work across HLS value chains, including patient and member journeys, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, quality and compliance, and clinical and commercial operations.
  • Use process mining and process intelligence tools to baseline performance, expose friction and compliance deviations, and build transformation value cases.
  • Qualify HLS opportunities, conduct executive discovery, develop solution narratives, and support proposals, oral presentations, and client workshops.
  • Build joint propositions with HLS-relevant technology partners and ecosystem players, and co-create go-to-market plays.
  • Publish points of view and whitepapers, speak at industry forums, and represent the unit in analyst briefings and client events.
  • Define high-value AI and agentic use cases for HLS, considering privacy, validation, and human oversight.
  • Conceive, package, and launch HLS consulting services, including concept development, pricing logic, delivery playbooks, and consultant enablement.
  • Serve as a domain advisor on live engagements, review deliverables for industry accuracy, and coach consultants across the pillars on HLS context.
