About The Position
H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H2O is currently seeking an Industrial Wastewater Mechanic to join our team in Harrison County, MS.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial wastewater, plant maintenance, or a related mechanical field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, and wastewater equipment
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and company standards
Nice To Haves
- Basic electrical and controls knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on wastewater treatment equipment
- Troubleshoot pumps, motors, blowers, valves, piping, and other plant equipment
- Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues before failures occur
- Assist with installation and modification of plant equipment and systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
- Coordinate with plant operators to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe condition
