About The Position

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems. Position Overview: GTI Energy is seeking an Electrical / Mechanical Assembler to support the hands-on build of complex industrial products and modular systems. The Electrical / Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components, installing electrical hardware, routing wiring, mounting equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring products are built safely and accurately. The ideal Electrical / Mechanical Assembler has experience in industrial manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, HVAC, maintenance, construction trades, or similar hands-on environments. The Electrical / Mechanical Assembler must be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working with tools, drawings, and production schedules.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an Electrical / Mechanical Assembler, Industrial Assembler, Mechanical Assembler, Electrical Assembler, Industrial Technician, HVAC Installer, Maintenance Technician, or related role.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, or assembly drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and work in an industrial environment.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an Electrical / Mechanical Assembler in industrial manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or modular systems environments.
  • Experience with wiring, conduit, panel builds, pumps, fans, HVAC, piping, or mechanical installation.
  • OSHA training, forklift certification, or trade school education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble frames, brackets, doors, hardware, ducting, insulation, and structural components into finished products.
  • Perform drilling, cutting, fastening, bolting, grinding, mounting, and mechanical fit-up activities.
  • Install pumps, fans, louvers, hinges, supports, and other industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure assemblies meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Install electrical components including panels, disconnects, junction boxes, lights, sensors, and controls.
  • Route cable, pull wire, secure harnesses, and support conduit installation as qualified.
  • Assist with grounding, cable management, and labeling activities.
  • Use meters and testing tools to verify continuity and basic functionality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Follow revision-controlled drawings and production documentation.
  • Identify missing materials, drawing issues, or fit-up concerns and escalate appropriately.
  • Safely operate hand tools, drills, saws, impacts, grinders, torque tools, and measuring devices.
  • Use tape measures, levels, calipers, and inspection tools.
  • Support material staging, movement, and workstation organization.
  • Build products to quality standards supporting First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and plant safety procedures.
  • Meet production schedules, takt time goals, and throughput expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S principles.
  • Work closely with Welders, Electricians, Fabricators, Supervisors, Engineers, and Quality teams.
  • Support rework, punch-list items, prototype builds, and urgent customer orders.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Have opportunities for advancement into Lead, Technician, or Supervisor roles.
