About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst (Level 2) to support its national security mission in San Diego, California. The role works with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable security requirements and maintain a robust security posture. The analyst supports day-to-day security functions for multiple Special Access Programs as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), as well as administration of the JADE Database. The position focuses on personnel security, education and training, document control and accountability, and physical security. The analyst interprets and applies security regulations and procedures governing records and access to restricted records and materials, conducts security education and audits, investigates security violations, and prepares reports describing preventive and corrective actions. The role requires close collaboration with program managers and domestic defense industry partners, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Industrial Security experience, or an additional 4 years of Industrial Security experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of experience with NISPOM and SAP Volumes 1–4.
• Experience with JADE and DISS.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance, maintainable, with a background investigation date within 6 years.
• Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manuals (5205.07), SAP Volumes 1–4, and security classification guides.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, challenging work environment and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and make sound decisions.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day security functions of multiple Special Access Programs as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).
• Support the broader team with administration of the JADE Database.
• Handle program security responsibilities, especially personnel security, education and training, document control and accountability, and physical security.
• Interpret and apply manuals and regulations, and establish procedures for handling, storing, and maintaining records and granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials.
• Conduct security education classes and security audits.
• Investigate security violations and prepare reports detailing preventive and corrective actions.
• Work closely with program managers and other domestic defense industry partners.
• Analyze problems, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions.
