About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Senior Industrial Security Analyst (ISA 3) to support its Mission Technologies Home Office in Virginia. The role is dedicated primarily to investigations, with secondary physical security responsibilities, improving operational responsiveness particularly across the high-volume Tidewater region. The position supports investigative continuity through interviews, background investigation monitoring and initiation, investigations, audits, and response to security needs. It also provides localized physical security support across Tidewater, including equipment inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and logistics.

Requirements

  • Six years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field; four years with a master's degree in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and ten years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the U.S. Government.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience providing investigative support, preferably to a U.S. Government agency or as a state or local police officer or agent of an official investigative agency.
  • Experience providing physical on-site security, preferably at a U.S. Government site or military installation, directly or through a contractor.
  • Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity to meet the requirements of the discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site interviews at the shipyard for personnel who cannot use phones while on the yard.
  • Monitor First Advantage, HireRight Employee, and HireRight Vendor background investigation platforms and provide timely status checks.
  • Initiate background investigations in HireRight Vendor for unique or security-related cases.
  • Support two-person investigative interviews when required for due process and documentation integrity.
  • Assist with in-person terminations when on-site investigative or security presence is required.
  • Contribute counterintelligence and physical threat support for Mission Technologies events, including Defense Tech Live, Sea Air Space, and other MT-sponsored engagements.
  • Participate in Board of Directors meeting support when feasible; if NNS raises concerns, limit involvement to meeting coverage rather than transportation assistance.
  • Respond rapidly on site to emergent security needs, such as temporary guard coverage, until contracted services are in place.
  • Conduct periodic audits of employee background investigations to check alignment of Talent Acquisition processes with security requirements and maintain continuous productivity.
  • Conduct security investigations, on site when necessary.
  • Maintain a regional inventory of physical security equipment and spare parts.
  • Manage safe storage and logistical movement of materials through the Suffolk warehouse.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting support for system issues across regional locations.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including battery changes and system testing required by DCSA for CU2050 sites.
