About The Position

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – Military Internship Program (SkillBridge) utilizing the U.S. Government guidance for SkillBridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. The Goals of the program are to provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC. The Objectives are that Service Members who complete the Intern program will be highly-trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission “Defining Possible” on Day 1. This program provides a comprehensive internship experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities. The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst or Principal Industrial Security Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Redondo Beach, CA. The CSSO administers all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Special Access Program (SAP) directives and other governing directives, as applicable. Exhibits the dedication and expectation of excellence required of a seasoned security professional. The CSSO works as a team player, exhibits flexibility and responds to customer expectations in a sometimes fast-paced environment. The CSSO interacts with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties. Administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Administers procedures and regulations for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted areas and data. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Requirements

Industrial Security Analyst: 2 years Industrial Security experience with a Bachelor's degree; OR 0 years with a Master's degree OR additional 4 years of security experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Principal Industrial Security Analyst: 5 years Industrial Security experience with a Bachelor's degree; OR 3 years with a Master's degree OR additional 4 years of security experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Candidate must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance current within 6 years
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a self-starter attitude

Experience working in an SAP/SCI environment
Working knowledge of the NISPOM, ICD and SAP Manuals
Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
