About The Position

This SkillBridge opportunity is with Raytheon, a provider of SkillBridge Fellowship opportunities for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry. SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface with government customers and employees at all levels. The candidate should be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task are a high priority. Strong communication skills are expected, to include: excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance, be committed to continuous learning and professional development, and work well as a member of cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Must be on Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
  • Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
  • Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Top Secret
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a Special Access Programs environment
  • Experience with NISPOM and DoDM 5205.07 Vol. 1 – 4
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and arranging activities in accomplishing objectives

Responsibilities

  • Media Custodian responsible for supporting a large, classified program
  • Maintain document control inventories
  • Manage media control policy
  • Conduct periodic checks of containers/areas
  • Process visit requests
  • Assist in annual self-inspections, inventories
  • Develop/maintain processes and procedures
