What to Expect: As an Industrial Repair Technician, you will perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and installation work on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical production equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. 3rd shift: Monday – Saturday, 11 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Requirements

  • 2 years of minimum cumulative experience performing industrial maintenance, corrective, preventive, and testing in a manufacturing facility or like industrial setting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment diagrams
  • Must have knowledge of Critical Safety Devices and functionality
  • Experience utilizing precision tools

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within a Caterpillar facility
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and installation of manufacturing machine components
  • Fundamental understating of CNC ladder logic
  • Advanced understanding of root cause analysis and FMEA

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, repair, and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and CNC‑based production equipment and controls (mills, lathes, grinders, presses and more), using strong knowledge of machinery operation, schematics, and OEM documentation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Diagnose motor and electrical failures.
  • Test equipment after repairs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures such as lockout/tagout and critical safety device protocols.
  • Accurate CMMS documentation.
  • Proper use of tools and precision tools (multi meters).
