About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter with hands-on experience specializing in Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and/or powder coating applications. This role is ideal for someone who brings 2–5 years of direct experience applying FBE or powder coatings in an industrial environment. This is a MUST‑HAVE requirement. Candidates must have proven experience Applying Fusion Bonded Epoxy and/or powder coating products (not wet paint only) using professional grade equipment. In this role, you'll be responsible for surface preparation, coating application, and finishing industrial components from start to finish. Your expertise in FBE and/or powder coating processes, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will play a critical role in maintaining our quality standards and continued success.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience applying Fuson Bonded Epoxy and/or powder coatings
  • Experience working in an industrial paint or coating environment (shop or field)
  • Surface Preparation: Sandblasting, grinding, sanding, cleaning, and masking surfaces
  • Painting & Coating Techniques: FBE and/or Powder coating application (required)
  • Mixing and applying primers, sealers, and topcoats
  • Coating Knowledge: Epoxies, polyurethanes, zinc-rich primers, and powder coatings
  • Equipment Operation: Paint booths, powder coating systems, spray guns, compressors
  • Quality Control: Even coverage, smooth finishes, correct DFT measurement
  • Safety & Compliance: Proper PPE use and safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Ability to be fit-tested and medically cleared to wear a tight‑fitting respirator (OSHA)
  • Ability to communicate and understand English for safety and operational purposes
  • Completion of OSHA 10‑Hour Construction Training
  • Ability to perform physical work for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Mix, apply, carry, and handle paints and specialty coatings using manual, spray, and airless spray methods
  • Prepare and apply Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and/or powder coating using application equipment
  • Operate powder coating equipment, spray booths, spray guns, pressure pots, and related systems
  • Perform detailing, touch-ups, and final inspections to ensure proper coverage and finish quality
  • Ensure correct coating thickness (DFT) and adherence to specifications
  • Comply with all safety, health, quality, and environmental requirements
  • Read and follow MSDS, manufacturer instructions, procedures, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
  • Identify, analyze, and control workplace hazards
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
  • Wear required PPE, including respiratory protection
  • Perform physical tasks including walking, standing, climbing, crawling, and working in confined spaces
  • Willingness to perform other duties as business needs arise
