About The Position

Join our powder coat team and play a hands-on role in finishing the products that go into real homes and commercial spaces. You'll work on a conveyor-based powder coat line using a Wagner automated system, supporting everything from material prep and pretreatment through final application. If you've got experience in finishing or manufacturing — or you're a quick learner who takes pride in quality work — we'd love to talk.

Requirements

  • Ability to set up and operate an automated and manual powder coat system
  • Ability to diagnose and adjust recipes to accommodate a first-pass quality initiative
  • Solid understanding of equipment calibration and curing processes
  • Ability to use various tools to read material thicknesses
  • Physically able to do the work requiring frequent standing (for 8 to 10 hour shifts) and bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Willingness to learn and perform other duties as necessary

  • Previous experience with an automated powder coat system preferred (Wagner).

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts on the conveyor line, ensuring proper spacing, hanging, and orientation for consistent coating coverage
  • Perform material prep and pretreatment steps including cleaning, masking, and inspection prior to coating
  • Operate the Wagner automated powder coat system and assist with manual application as needed
  • Monitor line speed, oven temperature, and coating parameters throughout the shift, making adjustments to maintain first-pass quality
  • Read and interpret coating recipes; adjust settings to accommodate different part geometries, materials, and finish specifications
  • Use film thickness gauges and other quality tools to verify coating meets spec before parts move to the next stage
  • Inspect finished parts for defects (holidays, runs, thin spots, contamination) and flag or rework as appropriate
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks, including gun cleaning, booth maintenance, and filter checks
  • Follow all safety protocols related to powder handling, PPE, and equipment operation
  • Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or equipment problems to the Powder Coat Supervisor promptly
  • Support cross-training across line positions as production needs change
  • All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned
