About The Position

This is a 2nd shift Industrial Plumber position (2:00 pm-12:30 am) that requires shop work. The role involves assisting Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as time allows, and maintaining a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques. Safety policies and the use of personal protective equipment must always be adhered to. The incumbent must be able to work and communicate prudently, manage time effectively, complete tasks, and work safely. Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
• This position requires shop work.
• Safety policies must be always adhered to.
• Personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.
• Able to work shift work.
• Able to work in small spaces.
• Able to work independently in a busy environment.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

Nice To Haves

• Problem-solving skills.
• Experience with power tools.
• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Appropriate credentials and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects as time allows.
• Able to braze AND solder copper pipe ½” – 4”.
• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Able to work with PVC pipe
• Performs other assigned work as required.
• Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP’s.
• Other duties as assigned.
