About The Position

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc., an Oshkosh Company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies. The Industrial Painter works in the company’s Riceville, Iowa production facility, using power spray equipment and brushes to prime, paint, and touch up vehicles. The role also involves preparing parts and inspecting completed work for quality and compliance with component standards. Starting pay is $20.00–$28.34 per hour, based on experience. A high school diploma or GED is not required.

Requirements

• Six months of industrial painting experience.
• Ability to read checklists, paint codes, safety logs, and other required documents.
• Ability to proficiently paint in a single assigned area.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Automotive paint experience.
• Willingness to train in multiple areas to obtain Painter II level.

Responsibilities

• Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
• Sand, wash, and condition parts as necessary.
• Inspect completed parts for quality and verify that component standards are met.
