About The Position

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc., an Oshkosh Company, designs and manufactures refuse truck bodies. The Industrial Painter works at the Riceville, Iowa production facility, priming, painting, and touching up vehicles and preparing and inspecting parts. Starting pay is $20.00–$28.34 per hour, based on experience. A high school diploma or GED is not required. The company offers financial assistance for education, from GED through a master’s degree, up to $10,000 per year.

Requirements

• Six months of industrial painting experience.
• Ability to read checklists, paint codes, safety logs, and other required documents.
• Ability to proficiently paint in a single assigned area.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Automotive paint experience.
• Willingness to train in multiple areas to reach Painter II level.

Responsibilities

• Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
• Sand, wash, and condition parts as necessary.
• Inspect completed parts for quality and verify that component standards are met.
