About The Position

Haakon Industries is seeking an Industrial Painter to prepare and finish custom commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This role involves surface preparation, masking, caulking, spray painting, and inspecting finished products to ensure a high-quality appearance. As every unit is different, attention to detail and pride in workmanship are essential. This is hands-on production work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, consistency, and safety are paramount. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring safe work practices and attention to detail at all times.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Able to follow prints, work instructions, and standard procedures
  • Comfortable working with paints, coatings, and industrial equipment
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Able to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work safely in a production environment
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, painting, construction, automotive, or industrial finishing experience
  • Experience with spray painting equipment
  • Experience preparing surfaces for paint
  • Experience reading prints or work instructions
  • Experience using hand and power tools

Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, masking, and caulking
  • Spray paint bases, doors, panels, small components, and completed assemblies
  • Read prints and follow production instructions
  • Inspect parts before and after painting to ensure quality standards are met
  • Operate paint pumps, spray guns, pressure pots, and related equipment
  • Assist with spray foam operations as trained
  • Maintain paint equipment and keep the work area clean and organized
  • Work with your team to meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards
