About The Position

The Industrial Painter prepares, coats, and inspects parts to ensure high-quality finishes that meet Enerpac’s appearance and durability standards. This role stages components, mixes and applies paint, operates paint line equipment, and maintains a safe, organized work area. The shift is Monday – Friday; 6:00am – 2:30 pm or 7:00am – 3:30 pm, with Saturdays when production needs exist.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of industrial painting or coating application experience (required).
  • Operates spray guns/paint equipment
  • Mixes paint and adjusts viscosity.
  • Ensures accurate color, coverage, and finish
  • Maintains clean, organized workspace.
  • Works effectively with teammates and follows written instructions.
  • Follows all chemical and equipment safety requirements and PPE use.
  • Identifies and corrects basic paint or equipment issues.
  • Adjusts to changing production needs and works independently.
  • Ability to wear respirators, masks, and required PPE when working with paints and chemicals.
  • Visual ability to inspect color, coverage, and finish quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related production environments is preferred.
  • Commercial or residential painting experience may be considered if skills directly transfer to industrial spray applications.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and stage components for painting, including loading and unloading parts.
  • Clean, mask, and prepare parts to ensure surfaces are ready for high-quality coating.
  • Mix paint materials, check viscosity, and prepare coatings for booth and spray-gun use.
  • Apply paint to cylinders and components using hand-held spray guns and paint booth equipment.
  • Operate touch-up spray equipment as needed to meet finish requirements.
  • Inspect painted parts for coverage, color match, and finish quality.
  • Identify appearance issues and perform basic troubleshooting to correct defects.
  • Control oven temperature and curing processes to achieve proper drying and performance.
  • Perform routine cleaning of the paint booth, spray guns, line equipment, and work areas.
  • Monitor chemical and material levels and maintain appropriate stock of paints, masking supplies, and consumables.
  • Assist with material movement as needed, including operation of the Raymond forklift (training provided).
  • Support efficient production flow by coordinating with team members on part staging, timing, and equipment readiness.
  • Follow all safety procedures when working with chemicals, paints, and equipment.
  • Wear required PPE, including respirators or masks when necessary.
  • Immediately report hazards, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support paint line operations and production schedules.
