About The Position

Ocean Steel, incorporated in 1955, specializes in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges. They also manufacture and install platework such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks, and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel operates two plants in New Brunswick: the original location in Saint John and the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, acquired in 1995. Requirements

• Completion of high school
• Experience using airless sprayer
• Experience painting steel
• Ability to work rotating shifts as this position does include night shift
• Transportation will be required as night shift does not align with bus schedule

Responsibilities

• Use overhead crane to position and rotate steel
• Prep steel beams for paint
• Assist with taping areas
• Spray paint steel beams using airless sprayer
• Working outside and assisting in Shipping Yard
• Finding and marking steel beams to be loaded for shipping
• Using overhead crane to help load steel onto trucks
• Snow Removal
