About The Position
At High Steel Structures, we fabricate structural steel for complex bridge and transportation projects across North America. We are seeking experienced Coating Specialists/Industrial Painters to join our 3rd-shift team in Williamsport, PA. The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 8:30 pm to 7:00 am. 3rd shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential. Coating Specialists/Painters are responsible for preparing metal surfaces and applying standard finishes, including paint and metalizing, to machined parts.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
- The ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments is necessary.
Nice To Haves
- Previous painting experience, using spray gun, desired.
- Sandblasting or powder coating experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks to prepare metal surfaces.
- Apply standard finishes to machined parts, including paint and metalizing.
- Apply specified coatings to steel bridge beams and cross members.
