About The Position
At High Steel Structures, we fabricate the backbone of America’s infrastructure, specializing in complex bridge and transportation projects. We are seeking experienced Coating Specialists/Industrial Painters for our 3rd-shift team in Lancaster, PA. The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 8:30 pm to 7:00 am. 3rd shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential. Coating Specialists/Painters prepare metal surfaces and apply standard finishes, including paint and metalizing, to machined parts.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required
- The ability to work from prints, specification tables and with adjustable layout and measuring instruments is necessary.
Nice To Haves
- Previous painting experience, using spray gun, desired
- Sandblasting or powder coating experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Performing various tasks to prepare metal surfaces
- Applying standard finishes to machined parts
- Applying specified coatings to steel bridge beams and cross members
