About The Position

Industrial Painter/Blasters maintain technical equipment, ensure it is in working order, and use a wide range of painting and blasting tools. They prepare and finish products while meeting customer delivery requirements, maintain safe and efficient work areas, and support other departments as needed. The role requires prior experience in a similar position and knowledge of industrial painting techniques and tools. Formal industrial painting training and manufacturing-environment experience are preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Specialized knowledge of industrial painting techniques and tools, including inorganic zinc-based paints, water-based zinc paints, and epoxy.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well with internal and external customers.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to use basic handheld measuring tools.

Nice To Haves

Formal training in industrial painting.
Related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Review the schedule and prioritize daily painting and blasting work to meet customer delivery requirements.
Ensure that all safety standards are maintained.
Review inventory against anticipated workload and maintain adequate stock levels.
Prepare restocking requisitions and submit them to the Manufacturing Manager.
Design and implement work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service.
Organize and maintain the paint booth and blast area for clean, efficient operations.
Safely dispose of waste generated during painting and blasting processes.
Mask units and products, mix paint to the required viscosity, and spray coatings.
Assist the Logistics Department as needed.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
