About The Position

Industrial Painter/Blasters maintain technical equipment, ensure it is in working order, and use a variety of painting and blasting tools. They organize and maintain paint booths and blasting areas for clean, efficient operations and safely dispose of waste generated during the processes. The role involves preparing products for painting, mixing paint to the required viscosity, and spraying coatings. The position also supports the Logistics Department as needed. Senior Flexonics Pathway engineers and manufactures metal expansion joints, damper products, and fabric expansion joints for industrial processes. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Specialized knowledge of industrial painting techniques and tools, including inorganic zinc-based paints, water-based zinc paints, and epoxy.
Good written and spoken English.
Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work well with internal and external customers.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to use basic handheld measuring tools.

Nice To Haves

Formal training in industrial painting is preferred.
Related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review the schedule and prioritize daily painting and blasting work to meet customer delivery requirements.
Ensure that safety standards are maintained.
Review inventory against anticipated workload, maintain adequate stock levels, and prepare restocking requisitions for the Manufacturing Manager.
Design and implement work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service.
Organize and maintain the paint booth and blast area for clean, efficient operations.
Safely dispose of waste generated during painting and blasting processes.
Mask units and products, mix paint to the required viscosity, and spray coatings.
Assist the Logistics Department as needed.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
