About The Position

Wood is recruiting an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter – Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis. As an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter, you will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. As well as planning and executing millwright activities in accordance with drawings and specifications. Within this role you will work in confined spaces and/or at heights, in outdoor and extreme temperatures and weather conditions. You will be working in confined spaces and/or at heights, as well as noisy conditions. Work may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.

Requirements

• Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Plan and execute millwright activities in accordance with drawings and specifications.
