About The Position

GM Canada is hiring Industrial Millwright Mechanics at their Oshawa Assembly facility. This role is crucial in supporting GM's vision of a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion by building quality trucks. Requirements

High School education with a valid Millwright License
Successful completion of Canadian Millwright Apprenticeship Program
Basic Computer Skills
Must be available to work any shift
Ability to work scheduled overtime as required

Nice To Haves

Welding experience and Heavy Equipment license an asset - Broderson
Dual Ticket a definite asset

Responsibilities

Safely repair, overhaul, install, replace and/or perform preventative maintenance on various types of equipment
Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from blueprints or scratch
Troubleshoot robotic welding cells, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, cylinders, conveyance systems, gear boxes and pump
Rigging and Hoisting

Compensation: Starting at a full rate of $55.97 plus a Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA) – currently $0.05/hour
Afternoon shift premium of 5%
Night shift premium of 10%
Paid overtime (x1.5 and x2.0) in accordance with the collective agreement
COLA Adjustments on a quarterly basis
DC Pension Program with Employer Match up to 2080 hours
Annual General Wage increases scheduled in 2024 and 2025
