About The Position

This role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on various industrial equipment in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. The technician will be expected to work without direct supervision and contribute to the development of maintenance standards.

Requirements

  • Possess a high school degree or an approved GED.
  • 5+ years' experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of using hand/power tools.
  • Working knowledge of precision alignment.
  • Working knowledge of rigging.
  • Working knowledge of pipefitting.
  • Working knowledge of welding.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Working knowledge of mathematics.
  • Working knowledge of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
  • Ability to observe details at close range.
  • Ability to control precision.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to perform substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
  • Must be able to work without supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
  • 4+ years education in industrial maintenance technologies / engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
  • Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are performed in conformance with established standards.
  • Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
  • Provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
  • Use hand and power tools, including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, hydraulic pullers, and rigging equipment.
  • Perform welding and use a cutting torch.
  • Operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
  • Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, and scaffolding, utilizing fall protection equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
  • Communicate with team members to assist in the development of short- and long-range planning.
  • Maintain personal tools required for the job and supply an up-to-date documented personal tool list.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and timely, including time accounting and work order completion.
  • Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
