This role is for an Industrial Mechanical Technician with mid-level skills.

Requirements

Working knowledge of hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools daily, including power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Ability to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Ability to work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment.
Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Ability to observe details at close range.
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
0-5 years of mechanical experience and/or 1-2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are performed in conformance with established standards.
Complete tasks with direct supervision or independently, depending on the assignment and employee development.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures, and provide feedback on work orders.
Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, and operate heavy industrial equipment.
Perform welding and use a cutting torch as required.
Operate forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Work from elevated areas using fall protection equipment.
Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations and participate in employee development planning.
Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning.
Maintain personal tools and provide a documented personal tool list.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete administrative duties accurately and timely, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
