About The Position

This role is for an Industrial Mechanical Technician - Mid, responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on various industrial equipment in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines, completion of assigned tasks with varying levels of supervision, and contributing to the development of maintenance standards.

Requirements

Working knowledge of using hand/power tools.
Working knowledge of precision alignment.
Working knowledge of rigging.
Working knowledge of pipefitting.
Working knowledge of welding.
Working knowledge of blueprint reading.
Working knowledge of mathematics.
Working knowledge of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Ability to observe details at close range.
Ability to control precision.
Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks.
Ability to perform substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.
Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are performed in conformance with established standards.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards and work procedures.
Provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Use hand and power tools, including power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment.
Perform welding and use a cutting torch as required.
Operate and have knowledge of heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with team members to assist in the development of short- and long-range planning.
Maintain personal tools required for the job and provide an up-to-date documented personal tool list.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
