As our Industrial Mechanic, reporting to the Shop Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of all SECURE-owned equipment. This role is based out of Leduc, Alberta. Join a skilled and collaborative maintenance team that plays a critical role in keeping SECURE's equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. This position is based full-time in our Leduc shop, with opportunities to work on a diverse range of rotating and stationary equipment in a hands-on industrial environment. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, mechanical problem-solving, computer proficiency for maintenance records and equipment tracking, and the ability to work effectively with team members while managing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Registered Millwright Apprentice or Journeyperson Millwright Certification.
  • Rotating mechanical equipment maintenance
  • Preventive maintenance experience
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and customer service
  • Valid safety tickets: (H2S, Confined Space, Forklift, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, and PST)
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively under tight deadlines
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
  • Machining experience or qualifications is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Plan and execute repairs to rental fleet equipment
  • Execute and analyze predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Install, maintain, and repair rotating and stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts when necessary.
  • Maintain equipment history and maintenance records.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to guidelines and regulations
  • Provide technical recommendations
  • Assist with the material management group
  • Assist with warehouse stock optimization
