About The Position

Techo-Bloc is a leading manufacturer in high-end pavers and concrete landscaping products across North America. We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. This role is all about troubleshooting, fixing issues fast, and preventing breakdowns before they happen. We don’t just hire Industrial Maintenance Electrician / Mechanics - we invest in them. Requirements

  • 3 + years’ experience working in Electromechanics, Industrial Electrician or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance working with both electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
  • Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment
  • Experienced in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding & fabrication preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, & Allen Bradley
  • Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
  • Collaborative; Works in the spirit of partnership.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues.
  • Properly size components and cabling for new electrical systems.
  • Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components.
  • Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
  • Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
