About The Position

America's largest metal food packaging producer is seeking an Industrial Mechanic. This role involves maintaining a high-speed can manufacturing line, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying industrial mechanical systems. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
  • Ability to learn the use of SPC and to utilize it as a tool for continuous improvement
  • A commitment to safety

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your industrial mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high-speed can manufacturing line
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all industrial mechanical systems
  • Use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances up to .0010
  • Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity

Benefits

  • Starting pay is $30.03/hour, with overtime available
  • Only work 84 hours every two weeks but earn 76 hours of straight pay and 8 hours of scheduled overtime every two weeks
  • $0.25/hr increase every 6 months for the first two years
  • Quarterly bonus based on plant performance
