About The Position

Sofina Foods in Hanover, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Millwright to join their Maintenance department on the night shift. This role involves supporting production by setting up and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and collaborating with other maintenance staff. The position requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to advise operators and managers on production-impacting issues. A key aspect of the role is the execution of a comprehensive Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Program.

Requirements

Must have 433A license
Competent communication skills, both oral and written
Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to work after-hours tasks and with minimum supervision
Ability to commute/relocate: Hanover, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Nice To Haves

Experience with fabrication
Experience in the installation and repair of machines and equipment is an asset
Experience in stainless steel fabrications and repair will be an asset
Industrial Millwright: 2 years (preferred)

Responsibilities

Teardown and setup production equipment as needed, including completing changeovers as per production schedule.
Troubleshoot and solve various mechanical issues as they arise.
Provide support to other maintenance staff including Electricians and Power Engineers.
Perform regular routines without direct supervision.
Advise Production or Maintenance Manager of any issues that could impact production.
Act as an advisor to Machine Operators if non-mechanical issues occur.
Complete Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks as per the company’s extensive PM Program.
