About The Position

Georgia Crown Distributing Co. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for their Alabaster, Alabama location. Georgia Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. This position will primarily work on the 2nd shift, from approximately 6 p.m. to 3 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The role requires on-call availability to service and repair machinery as needed, potentially covering for other mechanics during their absence or vacation. Requirements

Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
Knowledge of electrical systems (120 volt, 277 volt, 480 volt).
Basic PLC troubleshooting skills.
Experience with pneumatics.
Understanding of preventative maintenance schedules and routines.
Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
Ability to complete required written paperwork (purchase requests, PM records, etc.).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be 21 years of age.
High School Diploma/GED.
2 years of Technical School or equivalent on-the-job training with electrical motors, conveyors, ASRS, or mechanical systems.
Ability to operate a scissor and/or boom lift and work at extended heights up to 40 feet.
Must be safety-minded.
Must be computer literate.
Must be able to pass a background check (police backgrounds, reference checks).
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record: No more than two (2) moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph).
No more than one (1) speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years.
No major violations such as DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years.

Troubleshoot basic PLC issues.

Operate a scissor and/or boom lift.
Work at extended heights up to 40 feet.

Be on call to service/repair machinery as needed.
