The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for promoting health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements. This role also promotes the quality system by being familiar with the quality statement, manual, and procedures. The technician will support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including motors and motor controls. A strong understanding of industrial computerized controls, PLCs, variable speed drives, and various sensors is required. The position involves actively complying with and enforcing all safety policies and procedures, taking appropriate action to eliminate unsafe acts or conditions, and adhering to the Preventative Maintenance program. The technician will maximize equipment reliability by performing assigned work orders and PMs, ensuring complete and effective repairs, and proactively initiating work orders based on observations or reports. Documentation of work completed, including actions taken, conditions observed, root cause, preventative action recommendations, and resources utilized, is essential. The role requires interpreting reports, suggesting improvements, specifying replacement parts, and requisitioning repair parts. Additionally, the technician may lead, train, and coordinate activities of other maintenance personnel, manage contractors, and coordinate operations with other departments. Other duties as required.
