The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for promoting health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements. This role also promotes the quality system by adhering to its elements and understanding its philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures. The technician will support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including motors and motor controls. They must be knowledgeable of industrial computerized controls, PLCs, variable speed drives, and various sensors. The role involves actively complying with and enforcing all safety policies and procedures, taking appropriate action to eliminate unsafe acts or conditions, and adhering to the Preventative Maintenance program. Maximizing equipment reliability through effective work order completion and PMs, initiating work orders based on observations, and documenting work completed are key aspects. The technician will interpret reports, suggest improvements, specify replacement parts, and requisition repair parts. Additionally, they may lead, train, and coordinate Industrial Maintenance I & II personnel, manage contractors, and coordinate operations with other departments. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
