About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician II to join their team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing facility in Waukesha, WI. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 1st Shift; 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with workdays and hours potentially varying based on critical business demand. The role requires a willingness to work overtime when needed. The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing an entry-level of experience in responding to work orders with limited troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance on the production and facilities equipment, fixtures, and systems in an industrial environment. Responsibilities include performing inspections, checking sprockets, chains, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related mechanisms; lubrication; cleaning; filter changes; and minor repairs to equipment. Other responsibilities include data gathering for predictive maintenance technologies such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasound analysis, and infrared thermography analysis. The role also involves lubricating moving parts with specified lubricants, performing corrective actions from findings generated from Predictive Maintenance technologies, inspecting and receiving new lubricant deliveries, and performing scheduled preventive maintenance in CMMS. The technician will also recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance, safely perform functions of the position by following proper safety guidelines (job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, wearing PPE), and operate a variety of equipment including hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware. The position requires maintaining a strict schedule while demonstrating flexibility in day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. Other duties may be assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Industrial maintenance experience 0 – 2 years
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must be willing to work holidays and weekends
  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained

  • Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
