About The Position

This role is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of facility systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance. The technician will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, document all activities, and adhere to strict safety protocols. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge of industrial systems, and good communication skills. The work environment includes a plant setting with potential exposure to cold, wet, and noisy conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, servo motors, and industrial tools.
• Clear reporting and coordination with supervisors and production teams.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• 1–3 years in industrial or food-grade maintenance preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational training or technical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor building maintenance including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Follow OSHA, USDA, state, and company safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
