About The Position

Rudolph Foods Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for their night shift operations. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. The technician will be responsible for minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives, while upholding the company's standards for quality, food safety, and employee safety. The position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two-year technical degree or a minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience maintaining packaging or processing equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) according to established schedules.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Assist with equipment installations, changeovers, and machine setup.
  • Fabricate or modify parts when necessary.
  • Accurately complete maintenance work orders and required documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Work closely with production personnel to maximize equipment performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Obtain Hot Work permits when required.
  • Follow all food safety and GMP requirements.
  • Properly wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Safely handle chemicals and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions.
  • Keep emergency exits, fire equipment, and eyewash stations accessible at all times.
