About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician III for their 1st shift operations. This electro-mechanical role is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment, and tracking/ordering replacement parts. The technician will diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems, perform detailed equipment setups including recipe changes and control adjustments, and maintain mechanical machine components. Responsibilities also include performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing electrical control circuits, troubleshooting PLC inputs and outputs, and completing projects to add electrical circuits, controls, or relocate machines. The role involves maintaining and repairing pneumatic systems, entering all work into a computer-based maintenance program, monitoring spare parts usage, adjusting equipment based on Statistical Process Control data, and training new and Level 1 mechanics. The position is located at 9001 Ambassador Row Dallas, TX 75247.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required
Proficient in Word and Excel
Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills
