Industrial Maintenance Technician - Die Casting
About The Position
Production Castings is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing die casting machines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, and auxiliary production equipment. The technician will perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Key responsibilities include identifying root causes of mechanical failures, fabricating and repairing machine components, assisting with installations and upgrades, and supporting production operations. The role also requires accurate documentation of work orders and inspections, maintaining a safe work environment, and collaborating with other teams to improve equipment performance.
Requirements
- Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment efficiently and safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and maintenance teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation preferred.
- Technical training, apprenticeship, or maintenance certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair die casting machines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, and auxiliary production equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective, timely repair solutions.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair machine components as needed using machining and fabrication equipment.
- Assist with machine installations, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production operations by ensuring equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Complete maintenance work orders, inspections, and repair documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance team members to improve equipment performance and reliability.
