The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor supervises two or more full-time employees in an assigned plant or department. This role plans and coordinates the activities of workers to perform maintenance services, installation, or repairs in one or more skill areas such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, installation, carpentry, painting, or vehicle servicing. The position requires performing job duties safely and in compliance with policies, procedures, and practices, modeling professional behavior, and maintaining a commitment to a safety-centric culture and positive work environment. The supervisor must be comfortable dealing with competing priorities and directing assigned staff and contractors in approved maintenance activities, both planned and unplanned. Maintaining a safe, neat, and clean work environment, instructing staff on best practices, and providing feedback, coaching, and decision-making authority to employees are also key responsibilities. The supervisor must also be fair, objective, and capable of disciplining employees as needed. Other duties may be assigned.
